Sheryl Thomson (formerly Newsome) is one of four new recruits at the Edinburgh based data-led creative agency.

Sheryl joined Union Direct after a 14 year stint at Story UK, where she progressed to the role of Deputy Creative Director. The appointment comes after Dawn Kermani retired at the end of last year.

Sheryl brings hands-on integrated experience and an impressive track record in growing brands, solving problems and winning awards – making her a perfect fit for the expanding creative agency

Managing Director Gus Chalmers said of the appointment. “It’s a very exciting time for us at Union Direct and a fresh creative drive is just what we need as we move forward. The wealth of experience Sheryl brings from a variety of sectors will see us challenge the creative status quo and ruffle a few feathers”.

“Moving to Union Direct was a great step. They are an ambitious agency who share my values and goals. Being asked to come on board and help shape the department is really exciting” says Sheryl.

Also joining the team are David MacDonald, Head of Creative Services and Erika Sablinskaite, Account Manager from Rapp Edinburgh, and Jamie Venters, Copywriter from Tayburn, as Union Direct continues its recruitment drive and expansion.
