Growing hope – Fundraising for a community garden
We worked with Carr Gomm to test the direct fundraising channel for their work in one of Edinburgh’s most deprived areas, Craigmillar. We developed core creative assets, used across multiple channels including press, online, social media and print. Targets were challenging given the current difficulties facing charities in recruiting new supporters and the tiny budget available to test the channel.
Our creative teams developed a very cost-effective fundraising pack providing full copy and art direction, while our production managers ensured the packs were printed to the highest quality at the most effective price, setting up agency agreements to benefit from the cheapest postal rates. Thanks to our experience with other charities, we could confidently recommend a well-performing cold list, which was highly targeted to a tight geographical area of Edinburgh.
Results far exceeded the client expectations in terms of response and average gift. We hit the campaign target ROI of 3:1 which enabled the client to unlock match funding to secure the future of the community garden project.
