Creative Artworker

Do you want to get your teeth stuck into a variety of print and digital projects for big brands? Fancy working with some of Scotland’s sharpest (and soundest) people in the industry?

We’re looking for an experienced Creative Artworker to be the lean mean artwork machine of the agency. You’ll bring a passion for good design as well high artwork standards, and, crucially, the ability to straddle both.

With many projects on the go, you’ll need to be a multi-tasking, always-on-top-of-things type with eagle-eyed attention to detail. We are looking for someone who can work under pressure to tight deadlines, to deliver high quality artwork and design.

You’ll be working on a variety of projects, from small updates to print collateral, to creating polished visuals for emails and social posts. That’s why the ability to juggle various client needs to deliver finished artwork to a high standard, as well as creative design solutions that are bang-on brand guidelines are both crucial.

Your role will include creating artwork and sourcing and retouching images to ensure they meet print and web standards, liaising with external printers and acting as a point of contact, and working closely with the team as a whole to follow designs and artwork from conception to final sign-off.

You should have at least 4 years experience under your belt and have expert skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, with HTML/CSS and After Effects knowledge a plus. You will be a natural collaborator who makes every project plain sailing. And you will not be afraid to get freak on when it comes to being organised – you’ll be methodical and meticulous with archiving and saving work.

The role has the potential to be fully remote, and is on a six-month temporary basis to start with. Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience.

Your package will include:

  • competitive salary
  • comprehensive flexible working policy
  • pension
  • group Life Cover
  • generous holiday allowance
  • IPA CPD training
  • opportunities for career progression within Union Group.
